From the end of May to the middle of September, the fruit harvest, one of the main events in the fruit and vegetable sector, takes place.
This year, fruit productors foresee a bulky and high quality harvest due to the good weather conditions. Most of the harvested fruit will reach the distribution points fresh, responding to the new demands of consumers, who increasingly value the benefits of product consumption in this state. To make this possible, the fruits must be collected, transported, sorted and stored in optimal conditions.
Consequently, handling and distribution of fruit will have to respond to the specific requirements of each product. The main risks that may occur during the handling of a product are pollution, reheating for water loss and bruising. Fortunately, there are solutions that offer safe, fast and efficient manipulation and distribution.
Our company invests in R+D+i to develop automated equipment to control quality, hygiene and safety of fruit and vegetable products during the dosing, weighing, sorting and labelling processes, among others. We aim to get the most efficient and optimal production processes, respecting natural properties of fruit.
Veserkal expects a good campaign, which favours the sector and motivates the investigation of new technological advances.
